Venga Opens Its MiCA-Regulated Crypto Infrastructure to European Businesses
By Lidia Yadlos
Europe's new crypto rules have made launching digital asset services significantly more expensive.
For many companies, the challenge is no longer building a product. It's building the regulated infrastructure needed to operate under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.
Barcelona-based crypto platformVengabelieves that infrastructure shouldn't have to be rebuilt every time a company wants to launch a crypto product.
The company has introduced a new API-first B2B platform that allows fintechs, financial institutions and other businesses to integrate regulated crypto services into their own applications while Venga manages the underlying compliance and operational infrastructure.
Lowering the Barrier to Launch Crypto Services
Rather than applying for their own Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorization, companies can use Venga's infrastructure to add crypto features such as buying, selling, swapping and custody directly into their existing products.
Partners retain ownership of their customer relationships, branding and user experience, while Venga provides the regulated backend supporting customer onboarding, KYC, AML, regulatory reporting and compliance.
The platform is designed for European businesses looking to add digital assets without building the operational and regulatory framework from scratch, as well as international companies expanding into the European market.
Built for the MiCA Era
Venga says the new offering reflects how Europe's crypto market is evolving following the implementation of MiCA.
As compliance, capital and reporting requirements increase, many companies are choosing to specialize in customer-facing products while outsourcing regulated infrastructure to providers that already hold the necessary licenses.
Turning Compliance Into a Platform
Venga was built around the requirements of operating as a regulated Crypto-Asset Service Provider and recently received MiCA authorization from Spain's National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
Instead of treating that regulatory investment as a competitive advantage available only to its consumer app, the company is now offering parts of its technology stack as infrastructure for other businesses.
The launch creates a new business line alongside Venga's retail platform and reflects a growing trend across the crypto industry, where regulated infrastructure is becoming a service that other companies can build upon rather than develop independently.
As Europe's regulatory framework matures, providers with licensed infrastructure are increasingly positioning themselves as the foundation for the next generation of compliant crypto products.
