Robinhood Chain Surpasses $100M TVL as Uniswap Emerges as Its DeFi Powerhouse

Robinhood's move into blockchain is gaining momentum faster than many expected.

Just days after launching its Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 network, Robinhood Chain has attracted more than $100 million in total value locked (TVL), with Uniswap accounting for over $30 million of that liquidity. The rapid growth has also made the network one of Uniswap's busiest deployments, highlighting strong early demand for Robinhood's on-chain ecosystem.

Uniswap Leads the Charge

Uniswap has quickly become the backbone of Robinhood Chain's DeFi activity.

For a blockchain that only launched on July 1, the figures point to one of the strongest ecosystem debuts seen this year.

Robinhood Didn't Reinvent DeFi

Instead of building proprietary infrastructure, Robinhood chose to launch with some of DeFi's most established protocols already integrated.

Users gained access to Uniswap v2, v3, v4 and UniswapX from day one, eliminating the slow rollout that often accompanies new blockchain ecosystems.

Early trading has centered around two key themes: tokenized stocks, one of Robinhood's biggest long-term bets, and memecoins, which continue to drive significant on-chain trading activity.

The lending ecosystem also developed rapidly. Morpho deployed on the network almost immediately, while Ethena seeded one of its vaults with a $50 million deposit, helping establish liquidity for borrowers and lenders from the outset.

UNI Climbs Alongside Activity

The growing adoption has also benefited Uniswap's governance token.

The launch also reflects a broader strategy. Rather than competing directly with established DeFi protocols, Robinhood has embraced them, using proven infrastructure to accelerate adoption instead of asking users to learn an entirely new ecosystem.

If the current pace continues, Robinhood Chain could become one of the most closely watched Layer-2 networks as tokenized assets and on-chain finance continue moving into the mainstream.
