Nansen Brings Institutional-Grade Onchain Intelligence to Injective as Trading Activity Accelerates
By Lidia Yadlos
As more trading activity moves onchain, the battle is increasingly shifting from execution to information.
Traders today have access to perpetuals, tokenized assets, cross-chain liquidity, and fully onchain order books, but understanding where capital is flowing—and who is behind it—remains one of the industry's biggest advantages.
That's the opportunity Nansen is targeting with its latest expansion.
The onchain analytics platform has launched full support for Injective, bringing its intelligence suite to one of crypto's fastest-growing financial ecosystems while simultaneously launching a validator on the network.
The move gives traders, investors, and builders access to Nansen's wallet intelligence, Smart Money tracking, token analytics, and ecosystem-level data across Injective's growing market for derivatives, orderbook trading, and tokenized real-world assets.
The Rise of Onchain Market Infrastructure
Much of decentralized finance was originally built around automated market makers (AMMs), where users trade against liquidity pools rather than traditional order books.
Injective took a different path.
The Layer 1 blockchain was designed specifically for financial applications, bringing exchange-style order books and matching engines directly onchain. The result is a trading environment that looks increasingly familiar to professional market participants while maintaining the transparency and composability of blockchain infrastructure.
That approach appears to be gaining traction.
During 2025, Injective processed more than 1.4 billion transactions and over $30 billion in onchain orderbook trading volume. The network also facilitated approximately $6.1 billion in real-world asset activity while ranking among the most active Layer 1 ecosystems for developer engagement.
For Nansen CEO and co-founder Alex Svanevik, the growing complexity of these markets makes sophisticated analytics increasingly important.
"Injective is one of the few ecosystems where you're seeing meaningful trading activity across derivatives, orderbooks, and real-world assets all in one place," he said. "Users need to understand not just what's happening, but how capital is positioned and moving."
Following the Money
According to Nansen, Injective's active addresses surged in late April and have remained consistently between 80,000 and 90,000 active users through mid-May. During the same period, the network recorded approximately $145 million in daily trading volume while its market capitalization climbed above $500 million.
The activity extends beyond simple token transfers.
Cross-chain infrastructure providers, active trading wallets, and capital moving between ecosystems are becoming increasingly visible as traders search for opportunities across derivatives, tokenized assets, and emerging financial products.
Nansen's integration aims to surface those signals.
The company's Chain Dashboard provides ecosystem-wide metrics including transaction activity, active addresses, TVL trends, and protocol growth. Token God Mode offers deep analytics on individual assets, including holder distribution, wallet flows, and Smart Money positioning.
Meanwhile, Wallet Profiler allows users to analyze behavior across Injective addresses using Nansen's database of more than 500 million labeled wallets.
For traders, that means being able to identify where sophisticated participants are allocating capital before broader market narratives emerge.
Going Beyond Analytics
Nansen is also launching its own validator on Injective, giving the company a direct role in securing the network while strengthening access to real-time market activity.
The move reflects a broader trend across crypto infrastructure providers, many of which are increasingly operating validators as ecosystems mature.
By participating at the network layer, Nansen gains closer access to the data that powers its analytics products while demonstrating long-term commitment to the Injective ecosystem.
According to Eric Chen, combining validator participation with Nansen's intelligence platform helps strengthen transparency across increasingly sophisticated onchain markets.
"Validators secure the chain that cleared thirty billion dollars in orderbook volume last year," Chen said. "Smart Money labels and wallet flow data give every trader on Injective the visibility funds use everywhere else."
The Next Phase of Onchain Finance
As tokenized assets, derivatives, and institutional trading infrastructure continue migrating onchain, access to high-quality data is becoming a competitive advantage rather than a convenience.
Networks are no longer competing solely on speed or transaction costs. Increasingly, they're competing on the quality of the financial ecosystems built on top of them—and the tools available to understand them.
Nansen plans to expand its Injective coverage further with additional features including Smart Alerts, Hot Contracts monitoring, and deeper wallet intelligence capabilities.
