MEXC Launches Real U.S. Stock Trading, Bringing Wall Street Directly Into Crypto
By Lidia Yadlos
MEXC has officially launched "RealStocks," a new product that allows eligible users to buy and hold real U.S. equities directly through its crypto trading platform. Unlike synthetic assets or tokenized stock products that simply track prices, RealStocks provides actual ownership of underlying shares, including eligibility for dividends where applicable.
The launch marks MEXC's latest push to create a unified trading experience where users can access both digital assets and traditional financial markets from a single platform.
Moving Beyond Synthetic Exposure
For years, crypto users looking to gain exposure to public equities faced a frustrating choice.
They could either open traditional brokerage accounts, navigate banking rails, currency conversions, and funding delays, or use synthetic stock products that often lacked deep liquidity and shareholder benefits.
MEXC believes RealStocks solves both problems.
Through a licensed brokerage partner, users can purchase shares of U.S.-listed companies directly from within the MEXC platform using USDT. The experience is designed to feel similar to buying cryptocurrencies while providing exposure to actual equities and their associated rights.
Trading follows standard Nasdaq market hours, while MEXC is waiving platform trading fees during the launch period.
Tested by 20,000 Early Users
The public rollout follows an extended beta phase that attracted more than 20,000 participants.
According to MEXC, feedback from the testing period helped refine the user experience before the broader launch, ensuring stock trading could be integrated seamlessly alongside crypto markets.
The company views the product as a major step toward its vision of becoming a multi-asset trading destination rather than a crypto-only exchange.
Crypto Users Gain Access to Wall Street
The timing is notable. As investor interest grows around pre-IPO opportunities, tokenized assets, and alternative investment products, exchanges are increasingly competing to offer broader access to traditional financial markets.
MEXC CEO Vugar Usi said the launch reflects the company's long-term strategy of expanding what crypto users can access through a single platform.
"From pre-IPO access to tokenized stocks, and now real share ownership through U.S. stock spot trading, MEXC has continuously pushed the boundaries of what crypto users can access in global markets," Usi said.
He added that upcoming IPOs from major technology companies could create new opportunities for crypto-native investors to participate as shareholders rather than simply speculate on price movements through derivative products.
Launch Campaign Includes $1 Million in Stock Rewards
To celebrate the launch, MEXC is rolling out several promotional campaigns for users.
The first includes additional rewards tied to participation in the SpaceX(PRE) Season 2 Launchpad, featuring a prize pool equivalent to 200,000 USDT.
A second campaign will distribute up to $1 million worth of stock rewards to users who complete eligible trading activities between June 2 and June 16.
The company is also offering subsidies for real-time market data access during the first month following launch, helping lower barriers for users entering equity markets for the first time.
The Bigger Picture
RealStocks arrives as the boundaries between traditional finance and crypto continue to blur.
Over the past year, exchanges, wallets, and fintech platforms have increasingly moved beyond digital assets, adding support for tokenized securities, real-world assets, commodities, ETFs, and other investment products.
For crypto platforms, the goal is becoming clear: rather than forcing users to choose between Wall Street and Web3, bring both into the same interface.
With RealStocks, MEXC is betting that the future investor wants access to Bitcoin, Nvidia, SpaceX pre-IPO products, ETFs, and tokenized assets from a single account.
And increasingly, the industry appears to be moving in that direction.
