GoMining Partners With Uphold to Accelerate Global Expansion

GoMining's ambitions now extend well beyond Bitcoin mining. Rather than spending years building regulated financial infrastructure and securing licenses across multiple markets, the company has partnered with Uphold to fast-track its next stage of growth.

The integration gives GoMining access to payments, custody, compliance and trading infrastructure through a single platform, initially for U.S. users, while keeping the customer experience entirely within the GoMining app.

Growing Beyond Bitcoin Mining

GoMining built its reputation by making Bitcoin mining accessible through tokenized hashrate, allowing users to earn Bitcoin rewards without owning or operating physical mining hardware.

Since then, the platform has expanded well beyond mining. Products such as Recurring Buys and Staking reflect the company's ambition to become a broader gateway into the Bitcoin economy, serving users who want to earn, buy and manage digital assets from a single app.

That expansion also created a challenge. Supporting millions of users across multiple jurisdictions requires regulated infrastructure covering payments, custody, compliance and fraud prevention—capabilities that typically take years to build and license internally.

Instead of developing those systems itself, GoMining chose to integrate Uphold's Platform-as-a-Service directly into its mobile and web applications.

Faster Expansion, Better Liquidity

Beyond regulatory infrastructure, GoMining cited Uphold's global footprint, high payment approval rates and ability to rapidly deploy new products as key reasons for the partnership.

Uphold also connects to more than 30 centralized and decentralized trading venues, allowing transactions to be routed across multiple markets in search of deeper liquidity and more competitive pricing.

Robin O'Connell, CEO of Uphold Enterprise, said the platform gives companies access to regulated digital asset infrastructure while allowing them to maintain complete control over their customer experience.

"We're delighted to partner with GoMining as they plan the next steps in extending their reach and functionality. The Uphold service allows our enterprise customers to access a full range of tried-and-tested workflows and compliant digital asset services while retaining control of the customer relationship and user experience," he said.

Today, the company serves more than 5 million users and ranks among the world's top 10 Bitcoin miners by hashrate. With Uphold powering the regulated infrastructure behind the scenes, GoMining is positioning itself to continue expanding its ecosystem without adding complexity for the users interacting with it every day.
