Bitcoin Tops $78K After 22% Rally as Bybit Offers 10% BTC Yield

Bitcoin's strongest rally of the year is giving exchanges another reason to compete for traders' attention.

With BTC holding above $78,000 after gaining more than 22% over the past week, Bybit has launched two limited-time campaigns aimed at both sides of the market: investors who plan to keep holding Bitcoin and active traders trying to capitalize on the renewed volatility.

The exchange is offering a boosted 10% APR on fixed-term BTC deposits alongside new Spot and Derivatives trading competitions carrying a combined prize pool of up to 200,000 USDT.

The promotions arrive after Bitcoin broke through $75,000 on August 21 and subsequently climbed above $77,000 for the first time since May, extending a sharp recovery fueled by improving macro conditions and renewed optimism around U.S. crypto policy.

Putting Bitcoin to Work at 10%

For holders who aren't planning to sell into the rally, Bybit is offering another way to generate returns from their BTC. Through its limited-time Bull Incoming campaign, Bybit Earn is paying 10% APR on its fixed-term Bitcoin product through August 28.

The campaign has a total capacity of 243.33 BTC, with individual subscriptions ranging from 0.001 BTC to 1 BTC on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bitcoin Momentum Returns

Bitcoin's 22% gain in seven days marks its strongest weekly performance of 2026 and has quickly changed the tone of a market that spent much of the summer struggling below previous highs.

The cryptocurrency has now reclaimed $78,000 after breaking through several important price levels in a matter of days. For investors who remained bullish through the downturn, the question has shifted from when Bitcoin might recover to whether the current move has enough momentum to continue.

Bybit's latest campaigns are effectively a bet that interest will remain elevated on both sides of that trade. Holders can earn additional yield while keeping their BTC exposure, while traders willing to chase the volatility can compete for a larger share of the exchange's new rewards pool.

The campaigns run for a limited period, with the boosted BTC Earn rate available through August 28.
